  • Account

    An Account in VIDIZMO refers to an enterprise video portal that allows various organizations to store, manage and share different forms of media content in a robust and secure environment. VIDIZMO enterprise video platform offers two types of Accounts which includes the Paid Account and Trial Account. The former is a fully functional and licensed Account based on the type of package purchased while the latter is an account provided on a limited trial to test drive VIDIZMO features.
  • Active Directory

    An Active Directory is a directory service for enterprises, which helps centrally manage permissions and access to networked resources, which includes users, agents, etc.
  • Active Users

    Any registered user who logs into a VIDIZMO channel to perform any function such as accessing content, generating reports etc. in a specified billing month is considered an “Active User”. VIDIZMO has implemented the Active user model so that its customers pay only for in-use CAL (Client Access Licenses), however, a customer is required to purchase license for a minimum of 10% of the total registered/authenticated users.
  • Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABR)

    This streaming approach offers multiple streams of the same content at varying qualities. These streams are served inside the same video player and often differ based on bitrate and resolution. Ideally the player should serve the viewer with the bitrate most appropriate to their setup, based on qualifications like download speed.
  • Administrator

    Administrative Users in VIDIZMO, termed Administrators by default, have access to major portal configurations, billing reports and other controls. Administrators in DEMS are not permitted to view media.
  • Alpha Environment

    Alpha environment is where developers and engineering team creates VIDIZMO features and products. This is the initial phase of product development after which the code is pushed to Beta Environment for testing, debugging and quality assurance. Both Alpha and Beta are staging environments.
  • Annotations

    Annotations are text based precise notes, markers, tags, or comments inside the video. It assists in redirecting viewer’s attention to a particular frame of the video and to focus on an object/facet which might have otherwise gone unnoticed.     This is the ratio of the width to the height. Denoted commonly through the use of two numbers separated by a colon, the most frequently used format for video are 16:9 and 4:3.

  • CDN

    CDN (Content Delivery Network) refers to a system of servers spread across countries that load content based on a user’s location. Used to increase load speedsIt is used to reduce the loading time for users that may be geographically far away from the original content storage and streaming location.
  • Closed Captions

    Closed captions are transcriptions of the words said in a video/audio. Closed captions can be used to add clarity to content files. Moreover, it increases the searching ability and also assists those with hearing disabilities, an accessibility requirement for 508 Compliance. VIDIZMO supports Closed Captions (CC) for audio and video files. These can be added from the Media Settings either accessed from Media Manager or while uploading media. These can also be automatically generated through Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Content Management System (CMS)

    A content management system offers a platform through which a range of media could be published and widely distributed. Content management systems are focused on text or images, but some CMS focuses on video. VIDIZMO falls under the category of video CMS that caters to a range of industries for managing internal and external communication needs.
  • Collection

    Collection is a grouped compilation of multiple digital assets such as videos, audio, images, presentation and documents. Through collections, Administrators and managers of the portal can easily manage, access, share and track all digital assets.
  • Compression

    The reduction in data size to save space or transmission time. Compression is performed by a program which uses an algorithm or formula to determine how best to compress and decompress the data.
  • Congestion

    This is when a server has large amounts of data being processed due to high traffic, which it is a situation that occurs when there is some significant leads to reduced quality and unexpected delay between the server’s transmission of bits data and the client’s reception of them.
  • Content Formats

    Range of formats that are supported by any enterprise video content management system for the content uploaded and in-use. These formats can be mapped to a specific media type, which lets VIDIZMO identify how they are supposed to be stored, processed, and delivered.   • Content Moderation

    To ensure that no spam or unwanted content is uploaded on VIDIZMO portal, an. Administrator or Manager of the Portal is allowed to enable content moderation through the ‘General Settings’ option. It means that any content uploaded by the Contributor will go to the Moderator+ roles before it is published. No content will be published before prior approval of the Moderator. Any unapproved content will be automatically deleted from the portal.
  • Contributor

    Contributors are users responsible for populating the portal with media content. These user roles can add attributes and modify settings for the content they publish, but cannot moderate content in the portal.
  • Course

    In VIDIZMO, a course is a compilation of different media types such as videos, audio, images, documents, quizzes, surveys, polls, etc. that are accumulated together in the form of a plan to aid in learning. Learners can also import external courses such as SCORM. The aim of conducting courses is to facilitate learning, generate awareness, dissipate knowledge, etc.
  • Custom Attributes

    Custom attributes can be marked as mandatory for all the content available in media management or can be specified to audio, documents, images, presentations, quizzes, surveys, and videos. Additionally, these attributes help enhance search and appear as filters when searching for media.
  • Custom Domains

    VIDIZMO allows its users to choose different domain options based on their preference including directory, sub-domain, and custom domain. Custom domain option allows the user to use their own primary domain or subdomain based on their preference.   • Location Restriction

    VIDIZMO offers the flexibility to allow enterprises to customize the way certain terms appear on their Portals by using the Thesaurus feature. This feature simplifies the task of adding or replacing the terms appearing in the menu, headings, or labels across the entire Portal from a single interface. Some terms are already defined in the Portal by default, which cannot be removed and can only be edited.
